DYNAX IR Recording Microphone

Importance of Microphone Positions

DYNAX IR’s main engineer pursues the best mic positions for recording guitar cabinets in order to embody his experience and ideals as a guitarist who has worked in professional settings.
Just by picking up the sound of the guitar cabinet with a mic, even an engineer with no guitar recording experience can record it. But would that be a truly authentic tone that is recorded?

The DYNAX IR files are created from recording DYNAX members, all who have a wealth of experience as professional guitarists and recording engineers. We have determined the microphone position one by one. We thoroughly examined the selection of recording mics and mic positions and determined those perfect mic positions one by one by listening to the characteristics of each guitar cabinet.
Below are the details of the microphone used for DYNAX IR.
