RIVERA innovated guitar amps

RIVERA have established themselves as amp designers by introducing various new functions to guitar amps, the creator having previously worked for Fender amps. RIVERA’s cabinet, which is supported by many guitarists and also produces signature amplifiers.

RIVERA 412 Straght Introduction

RIVERA Amplification is a brand founded by Paul Rivera. Paul Rivera also repaired and modified various musicians’ amps in his own repair shop. After that, he joined Fender after the acquisition of CBS, where he designed and managed the production of Fender amps. He designed a classic amp called the Super Champ. Featuring a clean tone and a lead channel with an ingenious circuit, it became a masterpiece with a rare sound for a Fender amp at the time and was favored by many guitarists.

In 1984, after leaving Fender, he founded his own company RIVERA Amplification. Even before the release of the original amp, Mr. Rivera’s amp modifications were well received by local musicians.

Later, he released signature amps for great guitarists such as the BONEHEAD model co-developed with TOTO’s Steve Lukather and the Rake Head model for Air Play’s Jay Graydon. The characteristic of all amps is that you can get a gorgeous, clean, fat, and tight drive sound.

The control section has also been devised so that original and versatile sounds can be obtained.

In 2000, small amps that could be used on small stages around the world started to appear. Rivera also released a combo-style amp that is ideal for such club stage use. In addition, high-gain amplifiers have appeared from various companies in response to the demand for deep distortion and deep bass sound from multi-string guitars, such as modern high-gain. Rivera also released Knucklehead with a high gain channel and 120W power amp as his answer. He also released the model KR-7 used by Slipknot guitarist Mick Thomson.

Rivera makes a lot of different amps, but their amps consistently feature Fender-style control knobs with numbers from 1 to 10 engraved on them. It may be a tribute to Fender, where he once worked, which left a somewhat classical impression.
