Friedman BE-412 4×12 Guitar Cabinet

Top quality sound made with feedback from professionals in the field

Dave Friedman, who builds touring systems and amps for top guitarists in Los Angeles, CA, has been featured in many simulators as a cabinet IR. He has been praised by many guitarists in recent years for the sound he produces based on the experience he has gained in the field. We produced a cabinet IR of the finest rock cabinet that outputs the sound of the flagship model BE-100 head.

Friedman BE412 4×12 Introduction

Dave Friedman is based in Los Angeles, California, the home of music, and has maintained amps and built guitar systems for famous guitarists such as Eddie Van Halen and Steve Stevens. He has released his own products of guitar amplifiers and effectors based on the experience he has gained while working with various musicians, and is supported by guitarists who seek authentic sound.

Friedman amplifiers began with the BE-100 (Brown Eye), the current flagship model. The modified Marshall sound, produced by point-to-point hand-wiring without printed circuit boards, was a model for guitarists who loved hard rock and metal music. Later, a clean channel and effects loop were added, and the BE-100 was introduced as a single product.
The BE-100 consists of three channels: a BE channel for the classic brown sound, a gain-boosted HBE channel, and a beautiful clean sound. It can be said that the BE-100 succeeded in reviving a modern yet universal hard rock sound of the modern age. Later, the BE-50 Deluxe, a 50W model equipped with two EL34s in the power section, was released.
In addition to the BE series, they have also released the Small Box amp, a more user-friendly version of Marshall’s excellent sound; the Pink Taco, which delivers a full-fledged brown sound despite its small 20W size; and the RUNT 20/50, ideal for recording and home recording use with its built-in cabinet simulation.

They quickly became a top brand in the guitar amp world, but also released effect pedals. The first to appear was the BE-OD pedal, which reproduced the BE-100 sound of the company’s flagship model with a pedal effector. While raising the gain to the limit, it achieves a sharp and fat sound that is close to a tube amp. It became a big hit as a pedal that allows you to easily enjoy Friedman’s BE sound. They are also actively developing products such as releasing the twin pedal BE-OD Deluxe equipped with two BE sounds with different gain and sound trends.

Dave Friedman’s busy schedule allows him to produce a wide range of signature models, including the SS-100 for Steve Stevens, the JJ-100 for Jerry Cantrell, and recently a limited-edition custom head for Jake E. Lee. The products that come from Dave Friedman are all based on ideas and sound feedback from top guitarists in the field, such as the 412 Straight Cabinet and 212 Cabinet to match Friedman’s flagship BE-50 / 100 Deluxe and Small Box. The 112 cabinet fits the Pink Taco and RUNT-20, and the product lineup is designed to fully exploit the capabilities of the company’s amplifiers.

The Friedman 412 Cabinet recorded this time is handcrafted from multi-ply birch. Based on the experience Dave Friedman has gained, he chose to have the speaker units equipped with two Celestion Greenbacks in the upper area and two Celestion Vintage 30 in the lower. By installing units with different sound trends, it is possible to obtain a well-balanced sound as a monitor, or to create the sound of your choice by blending on stage or during recording.
